A building committee was formed to oversee both the design and fundraising aspects of our envisioned future facility. (It included Bettie Orchard, Chris and Cathy Bergquist, Mark Orchard, Grant and Lorraine Day, Paul Elkin and Tim Davidson).
Richard and Margaret Graham were ordained as our assistant pastors.

In a step of faith we took on two part-time employees in February: Richard Graham as assistant pastor and Bettie Orchard as church administrator. It was only after we moved in obedience that we had the funds necessary for this venture. To those who operate in the realm of faith, this will sound all too familiar!
Again, God gave landmark scriptural and prophetic words to encourage the church, which led to a bold and joyful declaration at its tenth anniversary.
![]() As we cross the threshold of our 10th year as a church, we anticipate the ushering in of a new era in God. We exalt our God with praise in our hearts for all that He has done in this past decade.
We are celebrating the past, present, and future in our celebrations this weekend. We have a prophetic and Almighty God who will not throw out the old; neither will he hold us to the past. He will propel us by His holy Spirit into the grandeur of future challenges and endeavors which will test and strengthen us equally as much as those in the past

We acquired formal development permits for the West Aarsby property in March. By September, we were ready to take another leap of faith, and began supporting Bettie Orchard as a full time administrator.
Psalm 78:54 And He brought them to the border of His sanctuary, even to this mountain, which His right hand had purchased.
1992
This was the year that we learned much about the importance of obeying God no matter what happens. Although to our natural minds it seemed obvious that we needed to push for the sale of our River Avenue property, God kept saying no. Not surprisingly, the building refused to sell despite our best efforts. We experienced a season of confusion and anxiety until we came to grips with the fact that “now is not the time.” It was a difficult lesson but a solid one.
