 Dr. Rob and Angela Apostolic Ministry
It's been two years now since Pastor Robert and Angela gave over the oversight of our church to Pastors Doug and Sarah, to begin to fulfill their long prophesied Apostolic calling. Some of you might be wondering what it is that the Butlers now do? When at home they function alongside Pastor Douglas and Sarah in the pastoral care of the church, and are part of the Eldership team here. Dr. Rob is also the Dean of Canadian Bible Training Center, which is part of our church's ministry. In their Apostolic role they function as pastors of pastors, travelling at home and abroad encouraging and strengthening local churches by coming along side of pastors and leaders with teaching, counsel and prophetic ministry. They also preach and teach in church services, conferences, seminars, and retreats. They are well respected by many as ministers and ambassadors of our church, and are extending the influence of CVCC around the world. Over the years they have ministered in England, Jamaica, Romania, Australia, New Zealand, Uganda, United States, as well as here in Canada. Currently they are preparing to go to Haiti in February. They will be away from February 18th - March 6th 2008. There are numerous other doors also opening to them at home and abroad. Many of those abroad are in the third world where poverty is the norm. These churches are unable to cover the cost of their travel, or provide adequately for them during their stay. As well as some of their own resources, the Butlers also use all of the honorariums they receive from ministry in the western churches to help finance their ministry in poorer countries, but unfortunately this is not always enough to cover the cost of travel and accommodation while they are away. This is where you can help. First you can pray for them, and if you are able you can pray about contributing to their ministry fund, which we have set up.
